The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro Dishes Up Refreshing Summer Fare As LTO

Full service gourmet burger bistro adds even more menu options for guests all summer long.
Toronto, ON.  The WORKS Gourmet Burger Bistro (www.worksburger.com) -- the award-winning full service, sit-down, neighbourhood bistro known for its 100 per cent Canadian beef patties, fresh cut fries, classic shakes and ice cold beer -- is serving up menu additions called Summer Feature Acts starting July 9, 2012.  The limited time offer runs for ten weeks until September 16 at all of its 13 locations.  The special menu offers fresh, delicious mains, salads and starters that are well suited to the summer time -- in addition to the regular neighbourhood WORKS Burger Bistro menu -- which features 70 varieties of gourmet burgers along with their signature fresh cut fries, famed Tower-O-Rings, and more than 50 flavours of the creamiest, hand-made classic shakes on the planet.

“We are really pumped about this summer-focused menu for our Burgerhead fans,” said Andy O’Brien, president and CEO of The WORKS.  “We’re always looking for ways to surprise them  and tickle their taste buds.  Offering new choices to complement the summer season is an idea we think our customers will eat up,” he commented.

“With our famous burgers and new additions to the menu, The WORKS truly offers something for everyone,” explained Chris Doepner, grill master, The WORKS.  “We are taking full advantage of the local, fresh, seasonal ingredients and serving them up in great new combinations,” he added.

Featured summer acts to titillate tastebuds
The Summer Feature Acts offer starters such as Crispy Dills, battered and deep fried ($9.38), Big Dipper spicy die-cut chips with a fire roasted cheese dip ($9.57), and a WTF (We’ll Take Four) combo platter with a selection of four starters and four dips ($11.43).  For an upgrade, Crispy Dills and Tower-O-Rings can be added.  Two lip-smacking poutine dishes -- Delhi-Icious with fresh cut fries, cheese curds, butter chicken gravy and fire grilled chicken breast, and Lipstick on a Pig BBQ pulled pork -- are both offered at $9.89.

Love the crunch a whole bunch
Crisp, cool salad options include The Tangy Goat combining goat cheese, grilled pineapple, mandarin orange segments, julienned carrots and fresh red peppers; Leafing on a Jet Plane offers a spring leaf mix with  roasted red peppers, julienned carrots and cucumber; a savoury Hail Caesar surprises with cheddar cheese, bacon, and housemade croutons; and the Waldork (yes, Waldork) delivers spring mix tossed with toasted walnuts, avocado, grilled pear, blue cheese, red onion and julienned beets ($9.36).  Burgerheads can add a whole chicken breast, veggie burger, 100 percent Canadian ground beef or ground turkey patty as an upgrade ($4.38).

In addition to The WORKS more than 70 unique burger choices, two new burger creations proudly take their place on the team.  The DBL Crunch Buffalo Blues features a Cajun breaded breast of chicken with Crazy Frank’s hot sauce, buttermilk blue cheese dressing and two onion rings ($13.83), and the Not ‘Yo Burger delivers a southwest inspiration with fried tortilla, avocado, fire roasted cheese dip and a blend of diced ripe tomatoes and minced garlic($12.93).

Hand-pressed and 100 per cent Canadian
Made from 100 per cent extra lean Canadian beef sourced from local producers, The WORKS’ classic beef patties are fresh, never frozen, and hand pressed in-house daily.  Once on the grill, each and every WORKS Gourmet Burger is "live fire-grilled" to perfection, without pushing, prodding or pinching.  Guests can choose a classic gourmet beef patty, or go for domestic elk, whole grilled chicken breast, turkey patty, veggie patty or the Portobello mushroom cap.  The perfect bistro for burger lovers, The WORKS fulfills your burger cravings, the way you like it.
